Celebrate Save the Elephant Day
Elephants are known as the most enormous, most gentle creatures in the animal kingdom. Emotional, intelligent and beautiful in the wild, elephants have been rapidly decreasing due to poachers desiring their tusks.
The populations have been declining quickly over time as a result. Save the Elephant Day aims to change those statistics by educating people about elephants. They hope this will encourage people to help save them from extinction.
History of Save The Elephant Day
Save The Elephant Day was founded by the Elephant Reintroduction Foundation. The holiday was intended to help raise awareness of the dangers that elephants face in the world. Initially, the launch of this holiday began back in 2012 with the release of the “Return to the Forest.” This was a documentary film telling the story about the challenges of reintroducing captive Asian elephants back into the wild in Thailand.
African Elephants and Asian Elephants are both listed under the International Union for Conservation as an endangered. Their population is declining rapidly. These creatures are known as some of the most gentle, magnificent creatures in the world.
To celebrate Save the Elephant Day, people take the time to learn about elephants in their habitats. People learn facts such as how elephants have the biggest brains of the animal world and are considered to be highly intelligent.
They also can show many emotions, such as joy, anger, and grief. However, in the last 100 years, the number of Asian elephants have rapidly declined due to habitat destruction. They are also killed for their ivory tusks, and according to statistics, one elephant is killed every 15 minutes due to this desire for their tusks.
On this day, people make an effort to decrease this statistic by donating to non-profit organizations. You can also make a conscious effort to help save these creatures from extinction.

OK, people have tried this with a poetry exchange, and now it is simple yummy recipes you love to make. Anything to pass the next 6 months.
After you've sent your recipe to the person in position #1 below (and only to that person), copy this email into a new email, move my name to the top and put your name in position #2. Only mine and your name should show when you send your email. Send to 20 friends via BCC. ( I only did 14, there are no rules about this).
If everyone participates, you should receive a lot of recipes. It's fun to see where they come from! Seldom does anyone drop out because we all need new ideas. The turnaround is fast, as there are only 2 names on the list and you only have to do this Once
In the meantime, stay safe, stay healthy, and STAY HOME.

Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun (16 April 1755 – 30 March 1842)
was a prominent French portrait painter. Her artistic style is
generally considered part of the aftermath of Rococo, with
elements of an adopted Neoclassical style. She enjoyed the
patronage of European aristocrats, actors, and writers, most
notably serving as Marie Antoinette's portrait painter, and
created some 660 portraits and 200 landscapes, which are
now owned by major museums and collections in Europe and
the United States. This oil-on-canvas painting, entitled Self-
Portrait in a Straw Hat, was painted by Vigée Le Brun
sometime after 1782. She is depicted in the open air against
a cloud-dotted sky, wearing a straw hat decorated with an
ostrich feather and a posy of rustic flowers. The artwork was a
"free imitation" of Portrait of Susanna Lunden by Rubens, in
particular the blend of two forms of illumination: natural daylight
and the radiance of the sun. Unlike the sitter of Rubens's portrait,
who crosses her arms and peers out from below her hat, Vigée
Le Brun portrays herself as being friendly and welcoming to the
viewer.
