Smart is Cool Day - October 22, 2021

 DIANE'S CORNER ..

Celebrate Smart is Cool Day

If there’s ever a time to show off your IQ test results, Smart is Cool Day is probably it. Though it’s not clear where the tradition started, the eggheaded individual’s idea was absolutely brilliant.

Schools typically put together shows for their pupils and students and invite both street-smart youngsters and successful degree holders to speak to them about the importance of staying in school. But there’s really no need for that, because all it takes to see smart people are cool is to Google Mayim Bialik, Zach Braff or Matthew McConaughey and to check out their background.

To celebrate Smart is Cool Day, put on your vintage T-shirt and your corduroys and check out Sheldon Cooper’s latest adventures. Then test your wits at the IQTest.com and tell all your friends that you decided to become a doctor. Then download the Mensa app and enrol to become a Mensa member. Don’t forget to wear a cap saying ‘I make smart cool’ and to post your selfie for all to see, because it’s always nice to share your gifts with your friends, intellectual or otherwise.

DAILY SQUEEK

If You Were Born Today, October 22:

Although you are personally magnetic, you have a manner that is slightly intimidating to others, making you a little hard to get close to. You give off the subtle impression that perhaps you don’t really need new people in your life. You do, although you tend to be somewhat selective when it comes to your social life, simply because your work is extremely important to you and you value your time. There is a no-nonsense directness about you that inspires trust in others. You give the impression of solidity, strength of character, dependability, and honesty. Although you are an idealist and visionary, you still manage to keep your feet on the ground. You don’t seem capable of doing things halfway, and that includes your relationships. You are quite focused on achieving in life. Famous people born today:

1811 Franz Liszt, Hungarian romantic composer and virtuoso pianist (Faust Symphony), born in Raiding, Hungary (d. 1886)

The worst waste of time is arguing with a fool or fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only his beliefs and illusions.

Never waste time on arguments that don't make sense. There are people who, no matter how much evidence we present to them, have not the capacity to understand; and others are blinded by ego, hatred or resentment. All they want is to be right even if they are not.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY: When ignorance screams, intelligence is silent.

You can use 'ice breaker questions' to build a rapport, enabling strangers to engage in back and forth conversion. With a little practice and possibly a beer or two, you’ll be breaking more ice than the Titanic.

  1. Skin Diseases are the most common form of infection found in people of all ages. Skin damage is one of the most difficult diseases to get used to because of its ugliness and its associated problems, especially when it is located in a place where it is difficult to hide like a face, even with make-up. Therefore, many people use Natural Herbal Treatment to treat various health conditions as well as promote general well-being.
