Celebrate Girl Friend's Day
Not quite like Valentine’s Day – this is about the girl friends. Two different words, referencing your friends. Notromantic entanglement, but friendly concourse and relaxation.
History of Girl Friend’s Day
Let us begin with what Girl Friend’s Day is – the day of the girl friend. A girl, well that definition is well and obvious for the most part. Occasional bending of that term may apply, but we all know what it means for each of us. A friend is a person to whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection. That doesn’t mean sexual relations, just relations. We all have relations, and a friend is one who has a close relationship with us, no matter the context, it is that relationship that details them as a friend.
On August 1, 2004, Mistress Susan created a special day just for girl friends to express gratitude to one another. It’s a great chance to take your girl friends to go to the park, to a Broadway play, out to eat at a restaurant opening, see an indie movie, or to an upscale spa, perhaps!

If You Were Born Today, August 1
You are a natural leader and others quite readily look up to you. You love variety and can be quite indecisive at times, but you are tough and determined when you need to be. While most consider you calm and centered, you do have a tendency to worry, particularly about money and security. Even so, you are generous and you enjoy some of the finer things in life. You can be quite successful in marketing and research, amongst other things. Sometimes sarcastic, you quite easily see through falseness, and you much prefer to surround yourself with people who are authentic and honest. Famous people born today:

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event -- in the living act, the undoubted deed -- there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. -Herman Melville, novelist and poet (1 Aug 1819-1891)
